Match Day!!

Here's a more complete post of Jeff's match day for residency. The day began with a breakfast...

Jeff's parents were able to come and visit for match day.

We discovered the future of our next four years the same time as everyone in Jeff's class. On match day each student is called up to open their letter and read the results of where they matched. The anticipation up to this day was tremendous. We were thrilled to hear that Jeff matched his anesthesiology residency at his #1 choice, Virginia Commonwealth University. 

I believe there was some celebration in order.

Our friend is a news anchor so she chose us to interview about LSU's match day. We were on tv! The girls were very cuddly during the interview.

Here we come Virginia! At this point we had sold our house and had to move out just 3 days after finding out where we matched. It was nice to finally find out where we would be moving all of our stuff to.

We went to the Louisiana boardwalk for ice cream and out to dinner that night. This is Elsie doing one of her dance moves. 

Annabelle was able to open her birthday presents from Grandma and Grandpa Bushman. She has loved watching "Frozen" ever since. The girls also enjoyed having a movie party with Grandma and Grandpa.
