2014 has already been a big year and we're excited for more to come! We had Jeff's big match day and he matched his anesthesiology residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University. We'll be moving to Richmond, VA for at least the next four years! Jeff graduates medical school from LSU in May and will then receive his M.D. He is finally done with his last 20 years of official schooling.
We already sold our house in Shreveport, LA and moved east. Jeff drove the big moving truck while the girls and I followed in the car. We stopped halfway in Chattanooga, TN which we discovered is a pretty cool little place. The girls were excellent troopers for our 20-hour car trip. I had several activities prepared in bags to hand back to them since I was solo and driving. We've stationed ourselves at my parents house in Maryland and their basement is currently the storage facility for all of our stuff. Jeff and I have made a few trips to Richmond and are now under contract on buying a house we like. We are excited for the new adventures that Richmond will bring us and love it already!
Our wonderful friends in Shreveport threw us a going away/Jeff's graduation party before we moved. It was great to get together with some lovely friends that we made over the years we were there. Elsie is our chocolate girl and she sure enjoyed the cake.
We are excited to meet Annabelle and Elsie's new baby sister/brother in September!! These girls will definitely be some good helpers and give the baby a whole lot of love. They already spend their whole day taking care of baby dolls so they'll be thrilled to have a real live baby to play with. When we told Annabelle that we are having a baby she said, "Well what are we going to do with Elsie?" I guess she thought we had to get rid of Elsie in order to have another baby. She likes to tickle my belly and say that she's tickling the baby. Sometimes if she pushes on my belly too hard she says, "oh no I think she's crying." We don't know what the gender is yet but Annabelle has assumed it to be a girl. This is my little belly at 13 weeks and it's certainly grown since then.
Elsie girl is full of surprises and is a woman of many emotions. One day she spent quite a while just hanging out under the table with her face in her hands.
Then she perked up and gave us a smile.
HOORAY! Congrats! Your life is SO EXCITING! Wishing you all the best on your new adventures! I love reading your blog - keep posting! (Maybe one of these days, I will get my bum in gear and blog again.)
