We are back from our summer journey and have been enjoying our time just taking it easy. Jeff is now in his final year of medical school; wow time has flown by! He is now preparing to apply for residency and in a few months we will know where the next chapter of our lives will be. We know that the Lord has things for us to do for Him and His children. We know that He will guide us to be in a great place for our family and we're excited to see where that place will be! In the meantime, we are loving our life in Louisiana.
On the 4th of July we had some friends over for a BBQ and lit off a few simple fireworks.
Occasionally Jeff and I like to make treats and watch a movie/show after we put the girls to bed. Sometimes, when we think Annabelle is down for the night, she comes out of her room to go to the bathroom. She then discovers our secret party and is always so intrigued with our treat and movie. We decided to let her stay up one night to make a treat with us and watch a movie. She definitely loved every minute of it. I love the times we all have together as a family but it is also nice to have some one-on-one time with each of the girls. This night we made muddy buddies.
We also made some delicious peanut butter chocolate cookies another night, mmm! Annabelle loves to help me make bread and pretty much anything.
Elsie is really into shoes. When we say it's time to go bye bye she goes and gets her shoes for us. The girls went "shopping" around the house in their pretty dress up shoes.
This might be why our door is always covered in cute little fingerprints and smudges.
Elsie loves to point her tiny finger out on each hand and talk. She is talking so much these days. Some words/phrases she is saying include: “I want drink, I want bath, I want milk, I want down, Don’t want that, Shoes, Outside, Mama, All done, Dada, Amen, Thank you..."
Our own little marching band parade.
We've been taking the girls to the summer $1 movies and they were recently able to get popcorn. I found them eating their leftovers. They are popcorn fanatics.
Elsie was recently introduced to her first Oreo. I'd say she was pretty happy about it.
They look like they love their sparklers! So sweet!
