We were on a walk yesterday and Annabelle kept asking for Oreos. We told her she had to eat her strawberries first if she wanted an Oreo when we got home. When we got home we opened the garage door. While Jeff and I were busy doing something with Elsie, Annabelle went into the house and locked the door. She has never locked a door before so I don't know if it was an accident or if it was part of her plan. Jeff and I didn't have a key or anything so... we tried talking her into unlocking the door. That didn't work. We had to get our neighbor to help us unlock it. While we were standing locked outside of the house by our 2-year-old, we heard rustling in the kitchen (our door in the garage goes into the kitchen). Then we hear a little voice saying, "Oreo!" She had managed to get the Oreos from the cupboard. She had a good 20 minutes or so to eat them before we were able to get in. She consumed the cream filling from approximately 5 Oreos.
It has been so nice having my treadmill to run on, especially with these hot summers and 2 little girls. If you look closely at Annabelle you will see she is carrying her baby and talking on the phone. She seriously spends most of her day taking care of her baby dolls. It's really funny to see some of the things she picks up from us. The other day she was changing her baby's diaper and I hear her say with an urgent voice, "Wipe please! Pooooopy! Gross!"
Elsie has become really interested in objects and toys.
I love how sweet she looks when she sleeps.
Mommy Annabelle feeding her baby doll some milk.
Elsie girl!
You can have a lot of fun with a roll of toilet paper.
I put Annabelle's hair in a ponytail and she looks like such a big girl to me!
Jeff is still doing his surgery rotation. His current interests for specializing are interventional radiology and emergency medicine.
Annabelle is sneaky! She does look all grown up with her in a ponytail!
